Dr. Amanda Brown is an optometrist and owner at Spectrum Eyecare & Eyewear, providing care in Fredericton and at Minto Optometry Clinic. She grew up in Fredericton, and is proud to care for the community she calls home.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of New Brunswick before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry & Vision Science and holds a New Brunswick Therapeutic License.
Dr. Brown is actively involved in the profession as Secretary-Treasurer of the New Brunswick Association of Optometrists and serves as a Key Opinion Leader for Bausch + Lomb.
Her clinical focus is comprehensive eye care, with a particular interest in helping patients of all ages—including children—see their very best. She enjoys working with a wide range of visual needs and is especially passionate about finding practical, personalized solutions for each patient, including multifocal contact lens fitting, binocular vision solutions, and advanced therapeutic treatments. Dr. Brown is committed to utilizing the best tools and technology available to provide thorough, thoughtful care.
Dr. Brown is known for her attentive, organized, and warm approach. She believes in truly listening, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment, and tailoring care to each individual.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys volleyball, cottage time, yoga, and travel—having visited over 40 countries. She also occasionally brings her cockapoo, Luna, to the office.
