Dr. Tim Wiley is an optometrist and owner at Spectrum Eyecare & Eyewear, providing care in both Fredericton and Minto. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Dalhousie University before earning his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo and holds a New Brunswick Therapeutic License.
Dr. Wiley has been actively involved in advancing the profession, including serving as Chair of the New Brunswick Association of Optometrists’ Scope Expansion Committee, and was instrumental in achieving the expansion of scope in NB in 2020, for which he later won the Barnes S. Bell award from the NBAO in 2022.
Dr. Wiley has a strong interest in comprehensive eye care, including glaucoma management, refractive surgery co-management, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. He is committed to ongoing education and staying current with advancements in patient care.
He is known for his calm, kind, and steady presence. Dr. Wiley values building long-term relationships with his patients and takes pride in supporting them through different stages of life. He wants every patient to feel at ease, cared for, and confident in their care.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, coaching volleyball, and swimming at his cottage.
