Dr. Michelle Lane is an optometrist and owner at Spectrum Eyecare & Eyewear, proudly serving the Fredericton community. She completed both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo and holds a New Brunswick Therapeutic License.
Dr. Lane has been deeply involved in advancing optometry at both the provincial and national levels. She is a past president of the New Brunswick Association of Optometrists and has represented New Brunswick within the Canadian Association of Optometrists. She has also contributed to national discussions around improving insurance coverage for optometric services and has participated in advisory work focused on dry eye care.
With a special interest in dry eye disease, Dr. Lane has pursued additional training and offers advanced treatment options within the practice. She is committed to staying current with evolving research and technologies, particularly in ocular surface disease.
Known for her thoughtful and attentive approach, Dr. Lane prioritizes making patients feel truly heard and cared for. She takes the time to understand each person’s concerns and works collaboratively to find solutions that improve both comfort and quality of life.
Outside the clinic, she is a member of the Fredericton Flute Choir and enjoys music, musical theatre, and unwinding with engaging TV shows. She and Dr. Palk have 2 children and share their home with their two rescue cats, Scooter and Loki.
